Agents bouwen
Build your own AI agent? You can do it without programming!
An AI agent may sound complicated, but as a student, you don’t need any programming knowledge to create one. With tools such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, and Google Gemini, you can create your own AI agent to help you with a specific task. You can tell the agent what role to take, what information it may use, how it should respond, and what you want it to help you achieve. You can then interact with it and adjust the agent as you go.
In ChatGPT, for example, you can create a custom GPT. In Microsoft Copilot, you can configure an agent, while Google Gemini allows you to create a customised AI assistant using a Gem. The features and terminology differ between platforms and subscription plans, but the basic idea is the same: you are creating an AI assistant tailored to your specific purpose.
For example, you could create an agent that:
- quizzes you before an exam;
- gives feedback on a first draft of a paper;
- explains difficult course material at your level;
- creates practice questions based on your course materials;
- helps you create a study plan;
- simulates a role-play to help you prepare for a presentation or job interview.
A good agent starts not with the tool, but with the task. First, think about what you want to achieve and what rules the AI should follow. The clearer your instructions, the more useful your agent is likely to be.
Important: creating your own agent does not automatically make AI reliable. Always check its answers, especially when using it for academic or factual information. Think of your agent as a smart study assistant, not as an infallible expert.
