Definition

It is not easy to define artificial intelligence (AI) because AI is a broad field that is constantly evolving. What we consider ‘intelligent’ changes as technology advances. For instance, computers can now perform tasks almost perfectly that were once considered uniquely human, such as pattern recognition and translation.

AI systems may appear to operate independently, but in reality, they rely on instructions and data provided by humans. They can perform complex tasks within the limits of their programming. They do not possess consciousness or intent of their own.
